Alberta iGaming Registrant List Reaches 43 Operators

Alberta’s regulated iGaming market is approaching its July 13 launch date with a major pre-launch milestone: the official operator registrant list has hit 43 approved entities.

Major global gaming brands feature prominently on the registered list, including Caesars, DraftKings and FanDuel, all of whom have completed full registration with the province’s iGaming regulator ahead of the market opening.

To secure their place in the new market, private operators are required to pay a one-time $50,000 application fee, plus an annual $150,000 fee for each individual site they plan to run in Alberta. These private operators will compete directly with the government-run Play Alberta platform when the market goes live, marking a significant shift in the province’s online gaming landscape.

The full registrant list update was first reported by Casino.org.
